About

The Llama Farm is a working farm set on 80 picturesque acres and home to the largest llama herd in Queensland. We invite you to come and visit us to see for yourself how an authentic llama farm operates. You will meet our llamas and other animals on your farm visit. We are not a food-producing farm as llamas are not commodity animals that are consumed in Australia. Instead, they are regarded as an exotic livestock that is used for stud purposes, recreation, companionship, livestock guardians, fleece production and manure production. To us, they are simply our paddock pets with their own names, unique personalities and stories…and yes, each animal has its own name that we know off by heart.

The Llama farm motto is Learn, Love, Llamas and it inspires all that we do on our farm. We believe that when you connect with animals and nature, it grounds you. Your visit will help you to learn more about our local history, the farm and our animals. You will love being outdoors with your family and friends on a working llama farm nestled between Pine Mountain and the banks of the Brisbane River. Our llamas are gentle and stoic animals that enjoy human company and are the reason why we are here.
We hope you enjoy your visit to The Llama Farm and leave feeling relaxed and happy that your life is a little calmer having met a llama.
